About BabyNamesMatch
BabyNamesMatch helps expecting parents find a name they both love. Each of you swipes names on your own phone: like, pass or super-like. You only see the names you both liked, so nobody has to argue about the ones they didn't.
How it works
Start a game, choose boy, girl or both, and share the invite link with your partner (for example on WhatsApp). Names come in rounds of 100, mostly well-known names with a few surprises. There is no signup, no download and no cost.
Where the names come from
Each language shows the names used in its countries, written the way they write them, most popular first. Popularity comes from official birth statistics: the US Social Security Administration, the UK Office for National Statistics, Ireland's Central Statistics Office, INSEE (France), Statbel (Belgium), Statistik Austria, Poland's PESEL registry, Statistics Norway, RENAPER (Argentina), Tunisia's National Institute of Statistics, and open city data from Berlin and Bonn; for Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Israel and Algeria, name-frequency lists matched to names we have checked. Arabic names were reviewed by hand, and a meaning is shown only when two independent sources agree.
Free, with ads
BabyNamesMatch is free for everyone and paid for by ads, which are never placed on the name cards. See the privacy policy for what we store and how ads work.
